The Halo Effect in F1.
The Halo which is being used in the F1 practice session as a demonstrator piece and a testing of the most awaited concept in F1. The Halo concept is drawing a mixed and a contrasting opinions from the paddock as well as the drivers.

For those who do not know what this is : read on......
You see these two ugly things on the car that is not just killing the killing look of the car, but also constricting the view of the car.
Now you may be wondering for what kind of danger this ugly and a nasty looking thing protect form, well as it turns out, the tyres that fly around the track during a crash of a car. When the front or the rear suspension break and the tether that is holding the tyre to the car fails.
There have been many accidents when the flying tyre hit the driver in the head and breaking the neck bone and certain death.
Now this picture is not to offend any body. As it turns out the people who support Halo take it too seriously
This is one of the jokes that has been floating around and the picture is self explanatory....
Need I elaborate.......XD
Even the four time world champion quoted and said
"It's not the picture you are used to seeing for F1. I agree it doesn't look very nice."
"But if it helps increase the safety and helps save lives, there would be at least two drivers still sround - Henry Surtees and Justin Wilson if we had this type of system."
this is the discussion as far as the people who are in support are concerned. Are there those who do not want the halo concept.
Well, The current world champion Lewis Hamilton is against it.
He implies that this is a terrible concept and it destroys the looks of the car. But he gave a little room out for its implementation that, if it is a push for the safety of the driver is concerned it should be an individual choice,...
Now here is where I take a little offence to this ""individual choice "". If you have followed my previous blog I talked about the probability of the driver getting killed.
The drivers are already in danger, and if the driver is given the option to choose, OBVIOUSLY THE DRIVERS ARE NOT GOING TO OPT FOR IT.
Do you remember this F1 Jokes that used to float around the F1 Buzz websites during the 2014 season.
And this picture is quite appropriate to the amount of hate this type of rule change brought to the F1. And this Catarham Model is more of a stripper than a racer.
So like we all rose above the hate and started liking the car . I believe we will also start liking the car
So what do you think about the halo model. COMMENT AND LET ME KNOW.
